If it's a Microsoft mouse, there's some sort of conflict with Vista imagine - a Microsoft product having a conflict with another Microsoft product! Hey, thanks for the reply! It's not a Microsoft brand mouse. I probably should've added that I have tried another mouse in the Vista machine, only to have the same problem. Okay, now the basics: what type of mouse is it? If wireless, is it bluetooth? I'm presuming USB. Is it laser or optical? Oh, and is it Vista bit or bit? Okay, one more. If you have, is it the correct version for Vista xx-bit, not for XP. Hey again. Yeah, I've tried to update the drivers, usually in Device Manager and by just letting it check online itself for the latest version of drivers, but it tells me the best driver is already installed each time?

And it's a Speedlink optical wired mouse. Nine times out of 10 Windows doesn't find any drivers and will tell you the best drivers are already installed, so 9 times out of 10, I don't believe them.
