And nothing seems to be happening. And I begin to wonder how much longer I should be patient. How long did you wait before deciding it was stuck or frozen? About minutes. Thanks for your anyway guys. I will try it in this thread and if no replies soon then i will try a new thread. Ive tried installing windows XP anyway and seeing disk management to see if its hidden somewhere but it isnt. This is so frustrating :p. Ive also used "killdisk" to 0 my hard drive to no avail. I heard XP has a bug not recognizing big hard drives, is there a simple patch for this, or a small program i can download to recognize it Post Reply.

So my next thought is to backup the data by placing the hard drive in a external hard drive USB case and after backing up the data with another computer, format the hard drive completely.
